About us
Based in Dargaville, New Zealand, we are registered pedigree Cornish Rex breeders with both NZCF and Catz Inc. Working closely with Sunset Cornish Rex, our breeding programme includes Australian, French, Swedish and Hungarian bloodlines.
Our kittens are born and raised in our home as part of the family, with plenty of handling and socialisation. They leave for their new homes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, registered and vet checked, with a kitten pack to help them settle in.
Cornish Rex are elegant, playful and incredibly affectionate – often known as “Velcro cats” for the close bond they form with their families. With their people-focused nature and loving personalities, they make the perfect companion cat.

Rare, distinctive and seriously underrated, the Cornish Rex is far more than just a cat. They are playful, curious and intensely people-oriented, wanting to be right there in the middle of your world. With their cheeky, almost clown-like personalities and surprisingly dog-like traits, they form an incredibly close bond with their families.

My husband and I are retired. Our 2 elderly cats had recently passed away. We decided we would like another furry companion so we searched Facebook and Trade me sites and came across Zebracatz and the Cornish Rex breed. We contacted Debbie Mason who was happy to chat about the breed,the personality and expectations of owning a Cornish Rex.Debbie was informative,passionate,honest and professional.We met and came home with Wiseman Walter,now called Walter. Debbie stayed in contact with us and enjoyed receiving updates.We then contacted Debbie again for a playmate and brought Vienna Edelweiss, now called Vinnie home. From the outset it was very evident that these kittens were well treated,well cared for and well loved. They were fully vaccinated,microchipped,and flea and worm treated.. Also litter box trained and to this day never an accident. We would highly recommend Cornish Rex as Loving, High spirited furry companions who absolutely bond with their human parents and become very ACTIVE members of the household. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Zebra Cats and welcoming our beautiful Cornish Rex boy into our family. From the very beginning, the whole process was smooth, easy and reassuring, and we felt well supported throughout.
Since bringing him home, he has settled into our family so naturally and has become such a special part of our everyday lives. He has brought so much joy, laughter and entertainment into our home, and the bond he has developed with both of my children has been absolutely beautiful to watch.
He is incredibly affectionate, playful and loves being involved in everything we do. He is always around the children, whether they are playing, relaxing or simply going about their day. He has become a wonderful companion for them and brings a sense of comfort, company and happiness to our home.
One of the things we love most about the Cornish Rex breed is their personality. They are known for being very social, loving and people-focused, and they love being part of the family. They are playful and energetic, but they also love cuddles and being close to their people. This has certainly been true of our boy!
For our family, he has been so much more than just a pet. He has become a little companion, entertainer and source of comfort for both of my children, and we honestly couldn’t imagine our home without him now.

We are a small, welcoming cat boarding facility on our lifestyle property on the edge of Dargaville. Our boarding spaces are designed so cats can see and hear others while still having their own safe, comfortable space.
We aim to help every cat settle quickly and feel at home, with twice-daily feeding and litter tray cleaning, plus plenty of pats, cuddles and scratches along the way.
Because sometimes a little extra attention is just what they need.
